The Redgate family has certainly had its share of educational experiences, milestones, accomplishments, and tuition payments :

Shaun Redgate Jr. — Graduated from the University of Virginia (03)
Brett Redgate — Graduated from James Madison University (05)
Paul Redgate — Graduated from Emory and Henry College (05)
Lindsey Redgate — Graduated from Longwood Unversity (05)
Madison Redgate — Class of 2030 — somewhere
Christina Redgate — Will graduate this spring from the College of William and Mary
Scott Redgate — Class of 2011 at James Madison University
My point is that I have personally witnessed a revolution in online learning even in traditional brick and mortar institutions. When my wife, Melody, was going through nursing school in the early 90s, she primarily used a computer for word processing. Shaun Jr., Paul, Brett, and Lindsey went online to track grades, finances, and do emails. There were also some nominal instruction or class interactions that were done. With Christina, I have seen a significant increase in her online interations within the William and Mary learning community and through her personalized Blackboard account. Scott is tearing it up. He has tests, sections of courses, and a good percentage of his educational interaction being done online.
The question that I have as I look out into the future is what is in store for my granddaughter, Madison Grace? What will the traditional classroom look like for her? How will learning and learning outcomes be primarily conducted? I certainly don’t have the answers to these questions, but they do intrigue me as I continue to work within the online learning space. My instincts tell me that online learning will continue to be more widely accepted, better measured, and more integrated into the educational fabric of learning worldwide
